Hyde ParkAn extensive internal renovation to a grand bluestone villa in Hyde Park, this project reimagines the kitchen, living areas, two bathrooms and a series of specialised joinery elements with a refined and cohesive approach.

Working within the home’s generous proportions and ornate heritage detailing, the design balances softness and structure. A sculptural kitchen island anchors the open-plan space, paired with warm timber joinery and natural stone to create a calm yet confident centrepiece. The flow between kitchen and living areas was carefully considered to support everyday family life while respecting the villa’s original rhythm.

Throughout the home, custom joinery introduces colour and texture in a way that feels both contemporary and sympathetic to the period architecture. Bathrooms were designed with the same restraint and attention to detail, layering materiality and thoughtful lighting to create spaces that feel elevated yet enduring.

The result is a confident renovation — honouring the scale and elegance of the original bluestone while bringing clarity, warmth and modern functionality to every room.
