This Residence is a thoughtful internal renovation designed to transform a previously dark and disconnected home into a sophisticated, light-filled family residence centred around contemporary living and entertaining.

The existing home featured low ceilings, a dated and impractical kitchen, and spaces that lacked both functionality and connection. The design approach focused on reimagining the internal layout to create openness, improve natural light, and establish a seamless relationship between the interior and outdoor entertaining areas.

At the heart of the renovation is a beautifully resolved kitchen and living space that now forms the social centre of the home. Layered materials, refined detailing, and a warm neutral palette create a sense of understated luxury while maintaining comfort and liveability for everyday family life.

A new mud room was incorporated to enhance functionality and organisation, carefully integrated into the overall design to support the practical needs of modern living without compromising the home’s refined aesthetic.

Large openings and improved spatial flow strengthen the indoor–outdoor connection, allowing the entertaining area to feel like a natural extension of the interiors. The result is a home that feels calm, cohesive, and elevated — balancing timeless sophistication with highly considered functionality.
